Our Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) draw from the multidisciplinary collaboration of professionals from the education, social and health sectors. Their common goal is to support individuals in the area of mental health and prevent mental illness developing in children and adolescents. They also aim to educate about and de-stigmatize mental illness. Amongst other responsibilities, MHST activities include providing direct support to schools in educating children with mental health problems, children with demanding behaviour, pupils with learning difficulties and children/adolescents from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

The project consists of two mobile multidisciplinary teams composed of specialists from the education, health and social sectors. These teams are situated in two consultation centres in Kutná Hora and Zruč nad Sázavou but can be available anywhere in the extended municipality region of Kutná Hora. The teams include Special Education Teachers, Social Workers, Nurses, Psychologists with experience in Health Care, a Clinical Psychologist and a Child Psychiatrist. Our teams cooperate with expert guarantors from the Czech Professional Society for Inclusive Education - ČOSIV and the Norwegian Østbytunet Centre for Treatment and Professional Development in Child Psychiatry. The project itself is managed by the Project and Financial Manager together with the PR manager and the Project Coordinator.
