BSc. (Hons) Hana Měkotová

Social Worker

Bc. Hana Měkotová

My name is Hana Měkotová and I come from Ledeč nad Sázavou. After my initial work experience as a Coordinator for chemical legislation, in 2009 I went overseas. Quite unexpectedly I ended up living abroad for over 12 years. During this time, I completed my studies on Health and Social Care in the United Kingdom. Prior to that I also gained a Diploma of Nursing in Adelaide, South Australia and worked there as a nurse and carer. Beside my other interests, I also volunteered for the Australian governmental refugee program. After almost 4 years of life in the southern hemisphere, I moved with my Australian husband to China and later to South Korea and Germany. During this time, I mostly worked in international schools supporting children with learning difficulties. In the Netherlands, which I consider my last international home, I mainly took care of my second-born son Robert. However, I also managed to complete and publish a translation of an Australian book “Dark Dreams”, and prepared a short socially themed children’s book, which I hope to also publish. I like helping others and try to live life without prejudice and in accordance with nature.
